So Whats your next Brush Buy?

Posted by BeautyGUMBO at 8:55 PM

Hello you guys so it was just a year ago I had like 2 brushes and some shadows, I am now so happy to say I have almost filled my brush belt with brushes I would love to use when doing other's makeup.

Its so many top brands out there as well as afordable one's, Sometimes it is like where do I began? Never buy anything makeup product for color or because of the look. I do think you come out better finding the one's that are just what they say they are. Meaning if you buy a 23 dollar crease brush it should not be just a soft brush! It better bang your crease! LOL Each day I am getter better at the craft, infact I do way better on other's.

Because I wanna perfect look for them. So what is the next brush? Sure its the new mac Dupe's out, But do we wanna try something different? I know I do....
I would love to see how you ladies have grown, Not Including collection brushes or holiday sets>>>>

Oh Yes I understand when I started I had cheap brushes that came from like trail sets. I was trying so hard to work with them. I felt like it was a need for alot of brushes. But they do wear out easy if you use them to much.
I think Sigma has great dupes so far and I am going to give the eye ones a go. I feel if you have a good crease, shadow, blending brush and contour brush you are on a good track.

oh pink! your brush belt is gawjus! i love it! i have a LOT of random brushes..... I think that everybody needs at least 3 GOOD eyeshadow brushes(Loew Cornell), 1 good crease brush (Revlon's brush is only 6 dollars and it blends beautifully!), a good kabuki and a good powder brush! I have the posh foundation brush and it's okay but I tried the contour blush brush from image essentials and I hate it! its just too rough! I think my next brush buy is going to be a MAC brush... 224 or 217..... love the blog!

ur brush collex is to die for! omg! mine is huge. & yes mostly full of dupes & holiday or special edition sets. LOL a great way to familiarize urself w/ a brand like mac or sonia k. if u like the se or holiday sets & u can afford to bump up to the regular prod line, that's what's up. yes, the proper tools make all the difference in the world. i'll be posting on my blog soon my new brush container so u can get a sneak peek @ how my collex has grown. essence of beauty, coastal scents & auraline beauty are still my main resources aside from holiday & s/e kits. great post!

I started out awhile ago with brushes from a beauty supply store near me that I didn't know were horrible. I thought for the longest that I was *that* makeup challenged! In fact, I just threw the first $12 blush brush I got from there away because - now that I know what a good brush looks like and does - its coarse and completely useless. I started picking up MAC brushes when I got makeup, then started my never ending search for quality (o' so soft!) synthetic brushes. In my collection there is only 1 holiday/SE set but yes, there are dups for every brush type and I do keep those little HIP brushes for applying e/s base. Price doesn't matter but purpose and quality do. Over the weekend I got a 2.99 smudge brush that makes me so happy...you have no idea! I just don't think we can have too many brushes! On payday I'm getting two new synthetic brushes - one from Philosophy and the other a Sephora brand.

It all sounds so very nice. I slacked of brushes and fell so bad for doing so. I broke my 213 and It fell down the drain on brush washing day. I was hurt but soon realize it is onl a thing. cant wait to see you all updated brush holders and belts.

I wasnt showing my collection just bringing up a brush topic.
I think holiday brushes is a good way to try out products, but there not always good because of mass production they cut corners when making them. I have only 1 mac holiday set and 1 from Sonia K

I really like your brush belt. I own several MAC brushes. I also own other brands such as Sonia Kashuk and MARK. The next brush I am hoping to get is the full size MAC 129 blush brush, I own a smaller version of it.
